Ásta Ragnheiður Jóhannesdóttir

Ásta Ragnheiður Jóhannesdóttir (born 16 October 1949 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician of the Social Democratic Alliance.

She was from 1995 to 2013 Member of the Icelandic parliament Althingi, since 2003 for the constituency of Reykjavík South. From 1 February to 14 May 2009, she was Minister of Social Affairs. Since 2009, she was President of the Parliament.
