Astrid Folstad
Astrid Borgny Følstad ( born May 31, 1932 in Oslo, † January 21, 2009 in Bærum, Norway) was a Norwegian actress.
Life
Følstad graduated from 1953 to 1956 an acting training at the Statens teaterhøgskole in Oslo. She made her debut in 1955 at Oslo Nationaltheatret, and was then 1956-1959 at Det Norske Teatret from 1959 and again on Nationaltheatret. Følstad participated in several Norwegian films and television series, including Kristin Lavrans daughter.
From 1970 to 1986 she was a teacher at the Statens teaterhøgskol. Until her retirement in 2003 she took ninety performances with the theater.
Astrid Følstad was married to the actor Norwegian Knut Risan. She lived last until her death in Hovik, in Bærum.
