At Fillmore East is a double live album by the Allman Brothers Band, which was released in 1971. This recording represented the breakthrough for the band and is still one of their best-selling albums. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest live recordings in the history of rock music.

Importance

The album was recorded at the Fillmore East Club in New York City on 12 and 13 March 1971. The music is a mix of blues, southern rock and jazz.

It reached position 13 on the Billboard album charts.

2003 placed the music channel VH1 At Fillmore East on rank 59 of the Greatest Albums of All Time. The Rolling Stone Magazine called the album the same year at position 49 of the list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

In 1992, the tracks of the album were released again with the live tracks on the album Eat a Peach and a recording of the piece One way out of another Fillmore concert entitled " The Fillmore Concerts".
