Atomino

Atomino is a puzzle computer game from Blue Byte in 1990 for DOS PC, Amiga, Atari ST and Commodore 64

The task is to create a 2D view of different atoms, which are represented by different colors, molecules. In addition to a knockout mode there is a play stage mode. In addition, the game includes extra rounds in which the player must create screen-filling molecules and bonus level in which the design of the molecule is given.

Normal atoms have one to four docking points as a single bond, which combine to next door standing when placing atoms, where possible, automatically. Occasionally appearing atoms without bonds act as a wild card and turn the place into a normal atom having an unused neighbor bonds corresponding bond number. The next following atoms can be seen on the right in a small tube; from this, the lowest atom are set to an empty field or replaced with an existing atom. If it is empty, or from time to time drop a new atom in the tube, it is filled, the game ends - so there is a time limit. The playing field is divided into an invisible grid; at higher levels there are obstacles on this grid, which limit the meaningful placement of atoms. A molecule is completed, if none of its atoms has a binding free. It then disappears with all its atoms from the field. Higher levels also provide constraints, such as " Build three molecules having at least seven atoms," and can specify atoms to fixed positions that can install and therefore must remove. To finish a level that all remaining on the field atoms in molecules are incorporated.
