Attila Zsivóczky

Attila Zsivóczky [ ɒtil ː ɒ ː ʒivo ʦki ] ( born April 29, 1977 in Budapest) is a Hungarian decathlete.

Zsivóczky is the son of the hammer throw Olympic medalist Gyula Zsivótzky. The first successes as a decathlete, he reached in 1996, when he was Junior World Champion in Sydney. In 1999 in Seville he first participated at World Athletics Championships and won the tenth place. Two years later, he came at the World Championships in Edmonton ranked fourth at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 Zsivóczky was sixth.

The first big success of his career he succeeded at the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005, when he won the bronze medal with a capacity of 8385 points. 2006 presented him with 8356 points to win the silver medal at the European Championships in Gothenburg.

Zsivóczkys personal best in the decathlon is 8,554 points, situated at the International Mösle Mehrkampf meeting in Götzis on 4 June 2000.
