Audrey is a existent since 2002 pop band from Gothenburg, Sweden.

History

Audrey was founded in 2002 by the four Swedes Anna Tomlin, Rebecka Kristiansson, Victoria Skoglund, Emelie Molin in Henån near Gothenburg. Audrey played shortly after her first appearances in Sweden. In summer 2003 they recorded their first demo, which sold over 500 times. For the recorded and published in 2004, second recordings were found labels such as Stereo Test Kit Records and Sinnbusrecords. In 2005, the band went on their first extensive European tour through Germany, France, the Netherlands and England. 2006 was followed by a split EP with David Pajo ( Slint, inter alia, Tortoise ) and another tour through Europe. In November 2006, the album Visible Forms appeared. Since April 2008, the album The Fierce And The Longing is available.

Victoria Skoglund and Emelie Molin together form the band Mire Kay.

Style

Audrey playing melancholic indie pop, which is extended by post-rock elements. For Audrey, all four musicians share the vocals. In the texts Audrey soft in favor of open, abstract images or descriptions feeling of traditional narrative structures.
