Audrey Williamson

Audrey Doreen Swayne Williamson ( Mitchell ) (born 28 September 1926 in Bournemouth, † April 29, 2010 in Rhos -on-Sea, North Wales ) was a former British athlete who won an Olympic silver medal in 1948.

Williamson participated in the XV. Summer Olympics 1948 in London part. After winning their lead in 25.4 seconds, she delivered in the semi-finals of the Australian Shirley Strickland a close race, both have been set at 24.9 seconds Rank 1. In the final, the Dutch Fanny blanker - Koen won in 24.4 seconds before Williamson in 25.1 seconds, the bronze was awarded the U.S. American Audrey Patterson at No. 3 before Shirley Strickland.
