August Heitmann

August Heitmann (* 1907 in Kalymnos, Greece, † 1971 in Santiago de Chile ) was a German swimmers. He won the 1926 and 1927 European champion title in the 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay.

Born in Greece Heitmann started until 1924 for the first Bielefeld SV, 1925, he moved to Magdeburg Swimming Club 1896. 1926 and 1927 he was German champion in the 100 meters freestyle. Heitmann took in 1926 the first European Swimming Championships in Budapest.
