Arne Borg

Claes Arne Borg ( born August 18, 1901 in Stockholm; † 7 November 1987 in Vallentuna ) was a Swedish swimmer.

He won the gold medal in the 1500 m freestyle and bronze in the 400m freestyle at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam. Four years ago - at the Olympic Games in 1924 - he won silver at both tracks. He also won bronze in 1924 with the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. In his playing days during the twenties he set 32 world records. In 1926 he was awarded the Svenska Dagbladet Gold Medal -.

In 1966 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport. His twin brother Åke Borg was also a successful swimmer.
