Kusuo Kitamura

Kusuo Kitamura (Japanese北 村 久 寿 雄, Kitamura Kusuo; born October 9, 1917 in Kochi, Kochi Prefecture; † 6 June 1996) was a Japanese swimmer.

At 14 he was the youngest swimmer who has ever been Olympic champion. At the Olympic Games 1932 in Los Angeles, he won the gold medal in the 1500 m freestyle. In 1965 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
