Norman Ross

Norman Ross ( born 2 May 1896 in Portland, † June 19 1953 in Evanston ) was an American swimmer.

Career

Ross won three gold medals at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. He won the 400m and 1,500 m freestyle and the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. During his time he presented to more than 10 world records.

After a career in swimming, he was first a sports journalist and then later working as a disc jockey for a radio station in Chicago. In 1967 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
