Gunnar Larsson (swimmer)

Gunnar Larsson ( born May 12, 1951 in Malmö) is a former Swedish swimmer.

In 1970 Larsson won the European title in the 400m freestyle, 200m individual medley and 400 m medley. He was awarded the Svenska Dagbladet Gold Medal - For this performance. At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972, he became both 200m medley and 400m Olympic champion documents. A year later he became world champion in the 200m individual medley at the first World Swimming Championships 1973 in Belgrade.

In 1979 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
