Alexandre Jany

Alex Jany ( born January 5, 1929 in Toulouse, † July 18, 2001 in Marseille ) was a French swimmer.

He was at the European Championships in 1947 and 1950 respectively European champion in the 100 m and 400 m freestyle. At the 1948 Olympic Games in London and 1952 in Helsinki, he won the French 4 × 200 m freestyle relay bronze medals. In 1977 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
