Filippo Magnini

Filippo Magnini ( born February 2, 1982 in Pesaro, Marche ) is an Italian swimmer.

Career

His special routes are the short and medium freestyle distances, which is why it is often used in the Italian freestyle relays. Magnini lives and trains in Rome.

Career

Mangini played in his youth basketball, football, beach volleyball and tennis and began ten years the sport of swimming. Since 1998 he has been in the Italian national swimming team. Originally he swam mainly breast, but since 2000 he has remained due to the greater success in freestyle.

The nickname of Magnini is " Superpippo " which corresponds in Italy, the Walt Disney Comic Character Supergoof.

He swims prefer the 100 meters freestyle, because he there does best his opponent surprise you with its ability to increase the pace on the track length and thus to be the fastest on the last 25 meters, where his opponents are already slower. Today, he swims for the strong Italian swimming club Larus Nuoto, Rome.
