Anthony Ervin

Anthony Ervin ( born May 26, 1981 in Burbank, California) is an American swimmer.

At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, he shared in a time of 21.98 seconds, the gold medal in the 50m freestyle with his compatriot Gary Hall Jr.. Moreover, he won the U.S. freestyle relay 4 × 100 m silver medal behind Australia. A year later he won the gold medal in the 50m freestyle at the World Swimming Championships in 2001. In May 2005, he auctioned on Ebay his gold medal for $ 17,100 and wanted to donate the money to UNICEF for tsunami victims.
