Band History

The debut album from Augustana came out in 2003, from which it initially but were only 1,000 copies. After the band members Dan Layus, Josiah Rosen and Jared Palomas Augustana have in Greenville, Illinois founded, they went to Southern California, where they also have their drummer, Justin South found. Shortly thereafter, Augustana was discovered by producer Stephen Short, who later became her manager was. The band with their second album, All the Stars and Boulevards, which was sold in the U.S. over 200,000 times became known. The band was distinguished by touring as the opening act of Switchfoot, The Fray, Counting Crows, Dashboard Confessional, OAR, Snow Patrol, The Damnwells, Goo Goo Dolls, Acceptance and Cartel, as well as through their own tours.

All the Stars and Boulevards

All the Stars and Boulevards was released and reached number one on 6 September 2005 in the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart and # 96 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts (USA). The first single, Boston, was released in 2005. This was a different version than the one on her debut album, Midwest Skies and Sleepless Mondays. The album All the Stars and Boulevards was again issued on 12 September 2006 and was announced on the MySpace website of the band. This album was sold in Best Buy stores and on the Best Buy website and was sold out the next day. The changes in this yet - again - issued the album were: a brisk mixte version of Wasteland, a new track, called Marie, acoustic versions and music videos from Boston and Stars and Boulevards. Josiah Rosen left the band in April 2006 and was independently released his first solo recording under the name A Memoir The Last Almanac out. On 29 April 2008 released a new album called Can not Love, Can not Hurt. The first single is called Sweet and Low.
