Cartel (band)

Cartel is a five-piece, American pop - punk band from Atlanta, Georgia and was founded in 2004.

All band members have been friends since high school. Their first album Chroma brought 2005 to the list of Bands You Need To Know music magazine Alternative Press. In March 2006, she also won the Who's Next competition from Yahoo! Music and AOL Music are of the Breaker artist named.

History

In March 2006 Cartel moved within the Sony Group from the record label The Militia Records to Epic Records, where their debut album Chroma was republished. The new release also contained the live EP Live Dudes. Shortly thereafter, they were as the opening act for New Found Glory with The Early November and Hit The Lights go. After some minor performances, they have opened a tour with Cobra Starship, Boys Like Girls, Quiet Drive, New Atlantic and Permanent Me. On 8 June 2006 the bassist Ryan Roberts left the band. According to the band, it was an amicable separation. An old friend of the band, Jeff Lett, joined as a replacement for Roberts. Cartel also contributed a cover version of the Oasis song " Wonderwall " for " Punk Goes '90s " compilation.

In February and March 2007 they were in the U.S. on the road, their first single was recorded during Honestly breaks in transmission of the NCAA March Madness on ESPN 2007. Another single, Say Anything (Else ) is included on the soundtrack of Madden NFL 2007. The second album " Cartel " is published by Epic Records on 21 August 2007. It was recorded in 20 days at the MTV show Band in a Bubble.

Soon after the second album, the record label parted by Cartel. Their third album, Cycles was therefore published in October 2009 with Wind-Up Records. On 15 January 2013, the band announced their new album Collider via Facebook, on March 26, 2013, was published.
