Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions

As an Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions ( ANARE ), the national and private expeditions exploring Australia's named in the Antarctic since 1947. 1948, the Australian Antarctic Division was established to organize and manage ANARE. The focus of the expedition is on the scientific exploration of Antarctica, on the part both private and public bodies.

Among the government organizations exists the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, the Australian Geological Survey Organisation include ( AgSO ), the Australian Surveying and Land Information Group ( AUSLIG ) and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation ( CSIRO ). Non-governmental organizations mainly include Australian universities and research institutes.
