Autolycus (crater)

Autolycus is an impact crater on the lunar front side at the edge of Mare Serenitatis, between the crater Archimedes in the west and in the north Aristillus. The rim is irregular and partially eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Greek astronomer and mathematician Autolycus of Pitane.
