The Ave Maria University is a private Catholic university in Ave Maria in Naples, Florida.

The private university was created by the U.S. entrepreneur Tom Monaghan ( Domino's Pizza ) was founded. The 2007 -based campus is located in the newly founded town of Ave Maria, the first Catholic city founding of the United States. The Ave Maria University, the first Catholic university founded in the United States since 1966. The University has a strict Roman Catholic code of honor. It is planned to university for about 6,000 students ( 2020). First Chancellor of the University was Joseph Fessio SJ.

In San Marcos, Carazo, Nicaragua, has been around since 2007, the Dependance " Ave Maria University - Latin American Campus ( AMULAC ) ".

The Ave Maria University offers ten degrees in undergraduate studies ( " undergraduate " ) and three degrees in the graduate program ( " graduate " ) to and doctoral programs in theology ( "PhD" ) to. Around 600 students are enrolled at ten faculties.
