Azerbaijan Museum

The Azerbaijan Museum ( also Tabriz Museum ) is one of the most important museums of archeology and anthropology of Iran. It is located near the Chaqani Park and the Blue Mosque in Tabriz.

The museum houses objects from excavations in the area of Iranian Azerbaijan, ranging from the period up to the 5th century BC. Coins from different eras to the 3rd century BC are also seen. The Islamic section displays objects from the 10th to the 17th century. The exhibition also includes other articles of the Constitutional Revolution.

Ten exhibition window show anthropologically significant pieces from different regions of Iran, including local costumes. Some valuable objects from Europe such as bronze statues and paintings are also on display.
