Babacar Gaye

Babacar Gaye ( born January 31, 1951 in Saint- Louis, Senegal) is a Senegalese officer, Lieutenant-General today. He was from 2005-2010 military leader of MONUC in the Congo and in 2012 took over the leadership of UNSMIS in Syria. Babacar Gaye is the son of the former Secretary General of the OIC, and former Foreign Minister of Senegal Amadou Karim Gaye.
