Babydoll

The babydoll is a nightgown form that came into fashion in 1956. It was named after the eponymous protagonist of the U.S. feature film Baby Doll - not named the other woman from the 1956 Covet. For the garment, the bound notation has become the norm as opposed to the movie name.

As Baby Doll is designated at that time a very light pajamas for women. It consisted of a short pump panties and a wide, loose and slightly A- shaped cut top, were attached to the short puff sleeves.

1957 abolished the Baby Doll then the step from pajamas to the daily dress. The couturier Jacques handles gave the nightgown a few more inches in length and was already out of the camisole a short dress.

Today we denote by Baby Doll only the airy top. Its shape has remained essentially unchanged. So it is up around easily from remote basket, while the lower part is cut like a rock.

Frequently Babydolls are occupied with ruffles and lace and monochrome ( pastelliges pink, light yellow, white or black) held. The material fabrics such as silk or chiffon can be used.
