Bacolor, Pampanga

Bacolor is a Philippine municipality in the province of Pampanga.

During the occupation of Manila by the British East India Company was Bacolor 1762-1764 government seat of the government in exile of the Spanish Governor General of the Philippines Simón de Anda y Salazar. During this time the offices of the provincial administration were laid over hegend by Factoria (now the San Isidro in the province of Nueva Ecija ).

Bacolor was before and after, to the transfer of the provincial government to San Fernando City in 1904, the seat of the provincial government of the province of Pampanga.

The town was founded in 1995 by a devastating lahar ( volcanic mudslide ) buried, the moved toward the bed of the river Pasig on the place and was a result of the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991.
