Baffour Gyan

Baffour Gyan ( born July 2, 1980 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player and currently active as a striker in the Ghanaian national team. His brother Asamoah Gyan is also a professional footballer.

Gyan shuttled several times between the Ghanaian club Liberty Professionals and the Greek team AO Kalamata and Anagennisi Karditsa back and forth. In 2000 he came to the Czech club Slovan Liberec and remained there until 2004. He then moved to Russia, where he played for Dynamo Moscow and from 2006 to 2009, for Saturn Ramenskoje. Since 2009, Gyan plays for Asante Kotoko.

Gyan plays regularly since 2000 in the Ghanaian national team. 2002 and 2008 he was in the Ghana squad for the African Cup of Nations. In 2004 he entered the Olympic football tournament in Greece, the Vorrundenaus Ghana in all three games available for use. Already in 1999 he took part with the U20 national team at the Junior World Cup in 1999. For the World Cup 2006, he was not taken.
