Bakhtiyor Ikhtiyarov

Bachtijor Achmedowitsch Ichtijarow (Russian Бахтиёр Ахмедович Ихтияров; Uzbek Бахтиёр Ихтиёров / Baxtiyor Ixtiyorov; born March 28, 1940 in Bukhara, Uzbek SSR ) is an Uzbek actor, who celebrated his greatest successes during the time of the Soviet Union. His first name is also specified in the notation Bachtijar.

Life and career

Bachtijor Ichtijarow was born in 1940 and attended the Ostrowski Theatre Institute in Tashkent. His studies there he graduated in 1963, he started working as a theater actor in Tashkent. He finally got in touch with director Ali Chamrajew from the studio Usbekfilm. Ichtijarows first film was the comedy Where are you, my Sulfija? , Which acquainted him right away. Still in 1964 he received the " Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR ". In the next decades Ichtijarow participated in a variety of Usbekfilm productions, including The seventh ball ( 1972) and Hot Summer in Kabul ( 1983). In 1989 he received the title of " People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR ". After the collapse of the Soviet Union Ichtijarow had only a few film appearances.
