Balanda River

The Balanda (Russian Баланда ) in the Russian Saratov Oblast is a 164 km long, north-westerly and orographic right tributary of the Don influx Medveditsa.

Course

The Balanda originates on the Volga plate and initially flows southwest and then southeast. It runs mostly through rural, sparsely populated areas and among other Kalininsk. A little after passing Simonowka it flows into the Medveditsa.

Hydrology

The majority of the water comes from melting snow of the Balanda the Volga plate. The catchment area of the river is about 1,900 km ².
