Balázs Ladányi

Balázs Ladányi (Hungarian Ladányi Balázs; born January 6, 1976 in Dunaújváros ) is a Hungarian ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Bolzano in the Italian Serie A1 since January 2013.

Career

Balázs Ladányi began his career as a hockey player in his youth Dunaferr SE Dunaújváros, for the first team, he was active in the Hungarian Hockey League from 1994 to 2005. During this time, the attacker won four -time national champion titles (1996, 1998, 2000 and 2002) and eight times the national Cup (1995, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004) with his team. Furthermore, the right-handed shooter was six times runner-up (1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005) with Dunaferr SE Dunaújváros. In the summer of 2005, he finally moved to their league rivals Újpesti TE, for which he spent two more seasons in Hungary, before he joined the French Ligue Magnus to Briançon Alpes Provence Hockey Club before the 2007/ 08 season. With Briançon he was in 2008 and 2009 runner-up and was in the same period twice in the final of the Coupe de la Ligue.

For the 2008/09 season Ladányi returned to his homeland and signed a contract with Alba Volán Székesfehérvár, for whom he played in parallel in the Austrian Hockey League and the Hungarian Hockey League until January 2013. In the years 2010, 2011 and 2012, he was Hungarian Champion with Alba Volánbusz. In January 2013, the exchange to Italy, where he signed with the record champions HC Bolzano from the Serie A1 followed. Already in the summer of the same year he returned to his native town, however Dunaújváros his parent club back

Internationally

For Hungary Ladányi took at junior level at the U18 Junior C Championship 1992 U18 Junior B European Championships in 1993 and 1994 and the U20 Junior C World Championships in 1993, 1994 and 1995, and in part.

In the senior level, he stood in the squad of his country at the World Championships Division II 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 2000 and at the World Championship Division I in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and at the World Championships in 2009. Moreover, he ran for his country in the qualifications for the Olympic Winter Games in 2010 and 2014.
