Balázs Taróczy

Balázs Taróczy ( born May 9, 1954 in Budapest ) is a former Swedish tennis player.

His highest singles ranking in the world ranking was number 13 in his career he could win 13 tournaments - all on clay court. He is the record winner of the ATP tournament in Amersfoort, where he won six times, including five times in a row.

However, his major successes came in doubles. He won a total of 26 titles, including the French Open in 1981, Wimbledon in 1985 and 1982, 1983 and 1986, the double Masters (each with Heinz Günthardt ). In 1985, he also reached the third place in the doubles rankings.

He played 14 years for Hungary in the Davis Cup and is the Hungarian record holder in single and double victories. Overall, he played 95 times for Hungary and won it 76 times.

In 1989 and 1990 he was coach Goran Ivanisevic of, with whom he played some doubles on the ATP Tour.
