Bally Smart

Bally Smart (actually Mapidima Lesetja Smart; * April 27, 1989 in Polokwane ) is a South African football player.

Career

The attacking midfielder started his footballing career with 14 years in England, where he played in the youth academy of Norwich City. He made his debut for the first team from Norwich in the second division 2006/07 season against Burnley on 17 April 2007, when he came on in the 86th minute. Some time later, Smart got his first professional contract with the " canaries ", but only for one season.

In 2007, Bally Smart was awarded for three months on loan at third division Milton Keynes Dons. In his time there, Smart came under manager Paul Ince on eight missions. After the contract expired at the club from the university town in eastern England, the midfielder moved to Greece to the local second division AO Kerkyra. At the beginning of the season he was able to record the first missions for the club from the island of Corfu. Throughout the time there was Smart mainly reserve players, from the total of 20 games played this at only two from the start. Although it ascended into the Super League, the contract was not renewed.

In August 2010, Smart signed a contract with Charlton Athletic. The only game in the jersey of Athletic made ​​smart in the Carling Cup against Shrewsbury Town, and was replaced after 59 minutes by Andy Reid.

In March 2011, the South Africans signed a contract with the Latvian record champions Skonto Riga.
