Baltic League (ice hockey)
The Baltic Hockey League was a transnational Hockey competition in the Baltics, which was attended by teams from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. He was once played in the 2000/ 01 season and won the Latvian club HK Liepaja Metalurgs. According to the 2000 /01 season, the league was discontinued. A cup competition was set out in the 2004/05 season played once.
Season 2000/ 01
On the Baltic League participated in the 2000 /01 season, five teams, of whom three from Latvia and one each from Lithuania and Estonia. The teams first played in a group of three (Group A) in the return match the seats. The group winners qualify for the finals, the second for the match for third place. In the two- group (group B) of the finalists and the participant was determined to make the game for third place in the best-of -three mode also.
Also in the best-of -three mode, the winner of the final round matches were then determined. In the final, the HK Liepaja Metalurgs prevailed over the Riga 2000 HK.
