Banepa

Banepa is a city in Nepal, 26 km east of Kathmandu, the district Kabhrepalanchok. She is an old Newari trading town and lies on the Arniko Rajmarg, the overland road from Kathmandu to Tibet. The old town with numerous temples is well preserved.

One kilometer northeast of the old town is the main tourist attraction Banepas system of Chandeswari temple.
