Central Development Region, Nepal
Development Region ( Nepali: मध्यमाञ्चल विकास क्षेत्र Madyamānchal Bikas Kshetra / development region of the Middle zones ) (English: Central Development Region) is one of five development regions in Nepal. It has an area of 10,583 km ² and consists of the zones Janakpur, Bagmati and Narayani. In the 2011 census, the region had 9,656,985 inhabitants, and thus a good third of the total population of Nepal. Council is based in Hetauda.
The zones are further divided into districts.
