Mechi (Zone)

Mechi is one of 14 administrative regions of the State of Nepal. It is named after the river Mechi border with India and lies in the development Eastern Region in the far east of Nepal. Administrative center of the zone is Ilam.

The zone consists of 4 districts:

  • Ilam
  • Jhapa
  • Panchthar
  • Taplejung
