Banff (Aberdeenshire)

Banff is a town on the North Sea coast north of Aberdeen in Scotland.

Location

Banff is located in the unitary authority Aberdeenshire at the mouth of the River Deveron in the North Sea.

Structure

Banff together with the neighboring village of Macduff ( on the east bank of the Deveron ) is a political entity. Together maintains the twin city an aquarium; the " Colleonard Sculpture Park "; and Duff House, built by William Adam in 1730 and now owned by the National Gallery of Scotland.

Banff was formerly core community of the county of Banffshire.
