Bank of America Plaza (Atlanta)

Bank of America Plaza is the tallest skyscraper in the American city Atlanta.

Architecture

The 317 meter high building in downtown Atlanta was designed by Kevin Roche and his architectural firm Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo & Associates and built in the years 1991 to 1993 within 14 months as Nations Bank Building. The costs amounted to 150 million U.S. dollars. Owner is the Bank of America.

The building has 55 floors of office space. In the building there is a tip that is covered with gold leaf.

The skyscraper is in the list of the tallest buildings in the United States and is ranked tenth in Atlanta even the tallest building. At the same time, it is the tallest building in the U.S. outside of the cities of New York and Chicago.

The architecture of the Bank of America Plaza is similar to the fair tower in Frankfurt am Main, which was completed in 1990.
