Bank of Moscow

The Bank of Moscow (Russian Банк Москвы ) is a Russian credit institution with headquarters in Moscow.

The bank was founded in March 1995. It provides in the Moscow region, as well as a number of other regions of Russia diverse financial services for both business as well as for private clients. According to the company, the number of business customers more than 103,000 and the number of private customers of the bank approximately 8.4 million. The profit before tax is said to have amounted in 2006 to 7.95 billion rubles, an increase of 39 % over the previous year.

The Bank of Moscow is 46.5 % ( as of 2010) in the possession of the city of Moscow. Other major shareholders include the energy company Mosenergo, the oil companies Lukoil and Surgutneftegaz as well as the investment banks Bear Stearns and Goldman Sachs

There are in the Moscow region over 130 branches of the Bank of Moscow (as of December 2010).
