Lukoil
Lukoil (own spelling LUKOIL, Russian ЛУКОЙЛ ) is the largest Russian oil company. The now international company is listed on the RTS index.
Positioning in the market
Lukoil is the sixth- largest publicly traded oil company in the world and the first in Russia, which is vertically integrated.
Lukoil promotes per day almost two million barrels of oil and gas. The Group has an oil equivalent of 20.1 billion barrels. He is consistently ranked in second place behind ExxonMobil and BP before. History
On November 25, 1991, the state oil company LangepasUraiKogalymneft ( LUKOIL ) ( ЛангепасУрайКогалымнефть ( ЛУКОЙЛ ) ) was created processing plants oil producing and of several smaller by order of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union. It was named after the three West Siberian cities Langepas, Urai and Kogalym in whose territories were the three former main and still important producing areas of the Group. 1993 was converted into a public limited company under the sole name now Lukoil and the following year began the privatization.
