Gazprom Neft
Gazprom Neft (Russian Газпром нефть until June 2006: Russian Sibneft Сибнефть ) is the fifth largest oil company in Russia, with headquarters in Moscow. Gazprom Neft is listed on the RTS index. The company was founded in 1995.
Sibneft has repeatedly tried to merge with the company Yukos. In October 2005, Sibneft was taken over by Gazprom; the majority in Sibneft was until then a group of Roman Abramovich. He sold his shares for $ 13.1 billion. The company's name was changed in June 2006 Gazprom Neft.

Gazprom Neft is one of the twenty largest oil producers in the world. The Group has 4.5 billion barrels of proven oil reserves and around 60 concessions for the exploration and production of oil in Siberia, particularly in the areas of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, Khanty -Mansi and the regions of Omsk, Tomsk and Chukotka. It currently produces around 256 million barrels of oil per year.
Gazprom Neft made in the first half of 2006 - in accordance with U.S. GAAP - 10.1 billion U.S. dollars in sales (up 77 percent). EBITDA amounted to 2.6 billion U.S. dollars ( plus 35 percent), the net profit of 1.8 billion U.S. dollars (up 22 percent).
