Bannister River

The Bannister River is a river in south-west of the Australian state of Western Australia.

Geography

The river rises about 22 km north of Bannister on the southern slopes of the Darling Range and flows first south-east and then south-west direction. In the near Boddington it flows into the Hotham River.

History

The general surveyor John Septimus Roe Western Australia named the river after Captain Thomas Bannister who discovered this stream in 1832.
