Bánovce nad Bebravou
Bánovce nad Bebravou ( Banowitz German, Hungarian Bán ) is a town in Slovakia.
History
The city was built on the site of an ancient settlement site (younger Bronze Age ). The first written mention of the city dates from the year 1234 In the Middle Ages it was an important center of handicraft production. Shoemakers, carpenters, blacksmiths, butchers, weavers, etc. in the early 17th century, the first primary school was opened.
Attractions
In the city center Bánovce nad Bebravou dominated the Roman Catholic Church.
Industry
In autumn 2005 the company truck was components sro founded. At present ( end of 2008) are about 320 employees in order to manufacture parts for MAN. The German shirt and blouse manufacturer Eterna Fashion GmbH with headquarters in Passau busy with a permanent establishment 706 people in the city.
