Vehicle registration plates of Slovakia

The license plate Slovakia ( Slovak evidenčné číslo ) consist of two letters for the district, the Slovak coat of arms and a combination of three digits and two letters. Here, the letters Q and W can not be used.

Variants

Standard Features In each district the letter combinations are issued consecutively, the first automotive OEM AA is the first trailer YA series. For license plates all at least five-digit alphanumeric combinations behind the district characteristics are possible.

At the left edge of the flag has a blue ribbon with the country code SK and the European stars. From the beginning of the introduction of the license system on 1 April 1997 to join the European Union on 1 May 2004 there were to be seen on a white background, the national emblem of Slovakia and the letters SK. Before 1 July 2006 after the district shortcuts only a hyphen was mapped.

Export registration license plate for export show a yellow background and a red box on the right side, on which the validity is shown. In Bratislava there are now combinations of letters that extend to the UN, to VC, there is also in Košice. In other districts the letters VA occurs. The signs are always two lines.

Professional registration to professional registration are also double-spaced and show red font. After the Region Codes follow an M and a three digit number. The combination of letters MA was / is output in Bratislava and Košice, the combinations of MB and MC in Bratislava.

Military License plates of Slovak armed forces consist only of digits. Before joining the EU were in the left margin, the letters ASR for Slovak:. Old flag

Until the introduction of the current indicator system identifier were issued under the old Czechoslovak system in Slovakia. This was followed by the district mark possibly another letter, then two times two digits separated by a semicolon. These codes became invalid December 31, 2004.
