Poprad District

The Okres Poprad is an administrative unit in eastern Slovakia with a population of 104 320 (2004) and an area of 1,123 km ².

Historically the county for the most part in the former county Zips, a smaller part in the east to the places Štrbské Pleso, Podbanské (both districts of Vysoke Tatry ), Štrba and Liptovská Teplička is part of the former county Liptau and the area with the village Vernár to County Gemer and small Hont (see also List of historic counties of Hungary ).
