Baranya County

Baranya [ bɒrɒɲɒ ] ( German Baranya ), is the southernmost county (administrative district ) in Hungary. It is bordered by Croatia as well as the counties Somogy, Tolna and Bács -Kiskun.

The county seat is Pécs ( Pécs ). The city is as Sophianae since Roman times, and was appointed in 2000 as a World Heritage Site. History and Culture

600 years after the Romans founded by King Stephen I, the Holy, the diocese of Pécs.
