Barguelonne

Upper reaches of the Barguelonne

The Barguelonne ( in the upper reaches also: Grande Barguelonne ) is a river in France, which runs in the Midi-Pyrénées region. It rises in the municipality of Pern, drained and flows generally southwest direction after 61 kilometers south-west of Valence d' Agen, after passing under the Lateral Canal à la Garonne, on the municipal boundary of Golfech and Lamagistere as left tributary of the Garonne. This also opens the Canal de Golfech, an abbreviation of the Garonne canal back into the Garonne one after having the nuclear power plant Golfech nearby supplied with cooling water.

On their way the Barguelonne touches the department of Lot and Tarn -et -Garonne.
