Baron Anton von Doblhoff-Dier

Anton Freiherr von Doblhoff -Dier (* November 10, 1800 in Gorizia, † April 16, 1872 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician.

Life

Anton ( II ) Doblhoff - in-chief in 1848, Liberal Member of the Austrian Reichstag. He was appointed Austrian Minister of Commerce in the Cabinet Piller village. After its demise, he took over in July 1848 in the short term, the interior and the Ministry of Education as well as the post of prime minister. From 1849 to 1858 he was the Austrian ambassador in the Netherlands. Subsequently he devoted himself to agriculture and agricultural authored writings. From 1861 to 1867 he was Member of the Landtag of Lower Austria and the Imperial Council, from 1867 Member of the mansion.

In 1819 he joined the fraternity Lichen circle Vienna.

In 1873 in Vienna Inner City (1st district) was named after the Parliament Doblhoffgasse after him.

Anton's brother was Joseph Doblhoff -Dier.
