Baron Glenconner

Baron Glenconner, of The Glen in the County of Peebles, is a British hereditary title of nobility in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, which is run by the family Tennant.

Award

The title was for Sir Edward Tennant, 2nd Baronet, created in 1911. This had previously been a Member of the House of Commons and Lord Lieutenant of Peeblesshire.

Another title

The father of the first Baron, also deputy and also a successful businessman, had been a baronet in 1885, of The Glen and St Rolux appointed. This title, which belongs to the Baronetage of the United Kingdom is today managed by the respective Baron.
