Barrel roll
A barrel roll (german barrel roll ) is a maneuver in which the aircraft has a helical line in the horizontal direction is flying about as if it would roll on the inside of a horizontal imaginary cylinder or barrel. Flying terms the barrel roll is a combination of a controlled roll and a simultaneous loop. The barrel roll is not included in the Aresti catalog and therefore no competition figure.
While the barrel roll, the acceleration forces are always positive. A famous trick is to pour a cup of coffee during a ( perfectly flown! ) Barrel roll. In air combat, this maneuver has a special meaning. If an enemy is approaching on the same or greater amount, you can with the help of a half barrel roll position over its aircraft, without losing sight of this. From the following inverted flight out you can then swivel in any direction to get behind the enemy.
