Barren Cross

Barren Cross is a heavy metal band that was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1984. Her lyrics are influenced Christian.

Band History

In 1983, the band of the two school friends Ray Parris (guitar) and Steve Whitaker (drums) was launched. 1984, the band was completed by bassist Jim LaVerde and singer Mike Lee. There followed a number of club appearances. In 1989, the band in the Morton Downey show on along with members of KISS and Anthrax. In 1994, the band was then dissolved. It came to the reunion for some live shows, but the album is not to be published.

Style

Musically, the band is often compared to Iron Maiden, because the voices of Mike Lee and the lead singer of Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson same. The lyrics of the band include their attitude towards many social issues, among other things, it comes to the issues of suicide, abortion, terrorism and prejudice or impairment by the Christian faith.
