Barış Ataş

Barış Ataş (born 1 February 1987 in Kulp, Turkey) is a Turkish football player.

Association

Barış Ataş, who was born in 1987 in Kulp in Diyarbakir, started playing football at the age of ten years in Diyarbakir Et Balıkspor. In 2002 he moved to the youth of Diyarbakirspor and played four years in different age groups. After spending the first half of the season 2005/ 06 with the amateurs, he was called by his coach, Nejat Biyediç in the first team. On 21 December 2005 he was in the cup against Giresunspor his first game in which he came off the bench in the final minutes. After Faruk Hadžibegić took over the team, he made the descent of Diyarbakirspor to nine games from the start. In the following season, he became an indispensable player. On 28 Matchday he retired in the game against Türk Telekomspor a torn ACL in his right knee and was sidelined for seven months. His first game after his injury he made on 11 November 2007. He was not back to his old strength and lost his place. As Diyarbakirspor missing out on promotion through the play-offs at the end of the season, he had nine operations. At the beginning of the season 2008/ 09 he made two games and hurt his back hard. After seven months break were back in fashion. Diyarbakirspor rose to second place at the end of the season. Barış Ataş made ​​in four games this season. In the 2009/10 season in which he was named team captain, he had the majority of assignments in a team. In addition to suspension, he has denied all the games of his team.

At the beginning of the 2010/11 season he has been linked with Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor. On 22 June 2010 he signed a three-year contract plus option for a further twelve months at Trabzonspor. End of December 2011 it was announced that the young players will until July 2012 awarded to league rival Mersin İdman Yurdu SK. At season's end, he returned to Trabzonspor, but sat here until the second half of the season 2012/13 without a wager on the bench.

For the second half of the 2012/13 season his move to second division Adanaspor was announced. Shortly before the end of the summer transfer window in 2013, he joined the second division Fethiyespor.

Already the next winter break, he left this club and moved to third division Diyarbakır Büyükşehir Belediyespor.
